Rachel Thompson

Rachel Thompson joined Sweet Aroma Ministries in 2016 and has served as Executive Director since 2019. With a background in social work and nonprofit management, she brings both strategic vision and hands-on compassion to everything she does.

Before Sweet Aroma, Rachel spent seven years working with at-risk youth in Chicago, where she developed community-based programs that addressed both immediate needs and long-term flourishing. Her experience working across cultural and socioeconomic lines has shaped her approach to ministry — always meeting people where they are.

Rachel holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in Psychology from Taylor University. She is a certified trauma-informed care practitioner and frequently speaks at conferences on the intersection of faith and holistic community care.

She lives in Indianapolis with her husband Marcus and their two dogs. On weekends, you can find her at the local farmers market or leading a small group Bible study from her front porch.
