Processing Turmoil
Few words bring clarity and rest to a fallen world like Jesus’ words. In John 16:33, Jesus says, “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart: I have overcome the world.”
Because of Jesus’ work, we have a model we can follow when the turmoil feels overwhelming:
Jesus wept (John 11:35)
Jesus left (Luke 5:15-16)
Jesus slept (Mark 4:38)
Jesus prayed (Matthew 14:23)
Jesus re-engaged (Luke 5:26)
Because of Jesus’ work, we can experience peace and process the journey safely.
