Finding Strength in Community

Rachel Thompson

There is something sacred about gathering together — not just in a church building on a Sunday morning, but in the small, unscripted moments of life. Around a kitchen table. On a park bench. Over a cup of coffee that has gone cold because the conversation was too important to interrupt.

At Sweet Aroma, we have seen firsthand what happens when women are given a safe place to be known. Not the polished version of themselves they show at work or post online — but the real, messy, beautiful version that only comes out when trust is present.

We Were Not Made to Walk Alone

Scripture reminds us again and again that we are made for relationship. In Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, we read: "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow."

Community is not a luxury. It is a lifeline. And for many of the women we serve, it is the first time they have experienced it.

If you are feeling isolated today, know this: you do not have to earn your place at the table. You are already welcome.

Rachel leads the day-to-day operations of Sweet Aroma Ministries, bringing a deep love for women and a decade of nonprofit leadership experience.
